The Don Barrow Cockpit light has been a favourite of ours for a few years. 

The short rows of LEDs are mounted within a short length of FIA approved rollcage padding and are attached to the rollcage above the windscreen. Being effectively fixed to the car ensures the light is consistent on the lap of the navigator without bouncing - this avoids distraction for both the driver and navigator.

Switched by the included switch, they really are a simple unit.

Available in 2 light colours:

White - For Pacenote and general use

Red - For Roadbook use

There are 2 short rows of LED's in these, allowing you to use different options in the car by a simple change of switch position.  During World War 2, Bomber command found Red light helped the navigator's night vision - this has been brought into these units.

The lights are specific to the size of the rollcage - so ensure you get the right one for the bar above your windscreen! Other variations are available - please let us know if you want any variations not shown.
